World Monuments at Risk List 2012

Since its launch in 1996, the list has featured 688 sites in 132 countries. This year, the fund flagged 67 flailing structures, districts, and cities, including the ruined cathedral in Coventry, Newstead Abbey - the ancestral home of Lord Byron, the Cistercian Abbey of St Mary's at Quarr - founded in 1132 on the Isle of Wight and the "brutalist" Preston Bus Station, which is set to be demolished.

The Carlisle Memorial Methodist Church in Belfast was placed on the Watch List in 2010.
