Belfast City Hall : An Architectural History

Belfast City Hall is one of the most memorable buildings in Ireland and one of the best of its era in the British Isles. In this meticulously researched, authoritative and carefully written account, Paul Larmour, one of Ireland's foremost architectural historians, charts the development of this remarkable building from its inception in 1896 to its completion in 1906. This fascinating story starts with the demand for a new city hall in Belfast and the competition to provide a design for it.
