The Heritage Angel Awards, is an exciting new project for Northern Ireland, launched in June. The annual awards aim to celebrate unsung angels of local heritage. For example, individuals and communities who have rescued an historic building, completed heritage projects, worked as craftsmen or apprentices, or recorded and interpreted a historic place. www.heritageangelawards-ni.org.uk

Already in operation in England and Scotland, this is the first time that the awards will be celebrated in Northern Ireland. The ceremony will take place on Tuesday 7th November at the Grand Opera House Belfast. Northern Ireland winners will then join England and Scotland at a UK awards ceremony in London on 20th November 2017.
